Diagnostic Work-up and Medical Treatment
When your pet is admitted with a problem that may require medical examination and treatment we request that you restrict any food from your pet from midnight of the night before the pet is brought in.

This will allow us to obtain more accurate results from tests performed and will allow us to treat your pet immediately. Generally, we ask that you plan to leave your pet for the day. This provides adequate time for patient recovery (especially for anesthetic procedures) and gives the doctor more than one opportunity to re-examine your pet as necessary.

When your pet is discharged after an examination please regard carefully the personalized instructions outlined by your veterinarian. Following these directions will allow your doctor to evaluate your pet’s progress.
